I am an assistant professor in the economics department at Vanderbilt University. I received my PhD in economics from UC Davis in 2019. I am also affiliated with the NBER as a Faculty Research Fellow.

I am an economic historian working on macroeconomic and financial topics in the 20th century United States. I combine data and techniques from banking, macro, and labor to improve our understanding of the trajectory of American growth. My work examines questions around financial crises and other macroeconomic disruptions in historical settings, allowing me to assess both the immediate and long-run effects in a unified framework.
